Privacy Policy | Dealzland
Last updated: June 2026
We'll keep this straightforward. Nobody enjoys reading privacy policies, and most of them are written in a way that makes you feel like you need a law degree just to understand what a website does with your email address. We're going to try something different.
Here's exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do — and don't do — with it.
Who we are
Dealzland is an online deals and discount website. When we say "we," "us," or "our" throughout this policy, we mean Dealzland and the team that runs it.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can reach us at: info@dealzland.com
What information do we collect
When you just browse
Even if you never sign up for anything, we collect some basic information automatically. This includes:
Your IP address and general location (country or city level — not your street address)
The pages you visit and how long you spend on them
What device and browser are you using
How you found us (Google, a link, direct, etc.)
We use this through standard analytics tools like Google Analytics. It helps us understand what deals people find useful and where the site could be better. We don't sell this data or use it to build profiles on individual people.
When you sign up for emails
If you subscribe to our deals newsletter or deal alerts, we collect:
Your email address
Your preferences, if you tell us what categories of deals you're interested in
That's it. We use your email address to send you deals. We don't pass it to third parties for their own marketing, and you can unsubscribe any time — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
When you create an account
If you create a Dealzland account, we collect:
Your name and email address
Your password (stored securely — we never see it in plain text)
Any preferences or saved deals you set up in your account
Your history of deals you've clicked on or saved, so we can make better recommendations
We use this to run your account, personalize the deals you see, and remember your preferences between visits.
Cookies
Yes, we use cookies. Here's what they actually do:
Essential cookies keep the site working properly. Without these, things like staying logged in wouldn't work. You can't opt out of these and still use the site.
Analytics cookies help us understand how people use Dealzland — which pages are popular, where people get stuck, that kind of thing. We use Google Analytics for this. You can opt out via your browser settings or a tool like the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Preference cookies remember things like your deal category preferences so you don't have to set them every time.
We don't use advertising cookies to track you across the web or build a profile of you for ad targeting purposes.
How we use your information
To be specific, we use the information we collect to:
Show you relevant deals and discount codes
Send you emails you've asked for (and only those)
Keep your account secure
Improve the site based on how people actually use it
Comply with legal obligations if we're ever required to
We do not sell your personal information. Ever. That's not a business model we're interested in.
Who we share information with
We work with a small number of third-party services to run the site. These include:
Email providers (to send our newsletters and alerts)
Analytics platforms (Google Analytics)
Hosting and infrastructure providers
These companies only process your data as needed to provide their service to us. They're not allowed to use it for their own purposes, and we only work with providers that take data security seriously.
We may also share information if we're legally required to — for example, in response to a valid court order or law enforcement request. We'll always try to notify you if this happens, unless we're legally prevented from doing so.
Your rights (and how to use them)
Because our users are primarily based in the US, here's what you can do:
You can ask us what data we hold about you. Send us an email and we'll tell you.
You can ask us to delete your data. If you want your account and associated data removed, just ask. We'll do it within 30 days, except for any information we're legally required to keep.
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time. Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email us directly, and we'll remove you manually.
You can update your information. Log into your account to change your details, or email us if you need help.
If you're based in California, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we've collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information (which, again, we don't do).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@dealzland.com.
How we protect your information
We use standard security practices to protect your data — encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password storage, and limited internal access to personal information. No system is 100% foolproof, but we take this seriously and keep our security practices up to date.
Links to other websites
Dealzland links to a lot of retailers and brand websites — that's kind of the whole point. Once you click through to one of those sites, their own privacy policies apply. We don't control what they collect, so it's worth checking their policies if you're curious.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. If the changes are substantial, we may also email our registered users to let them know.
Questions?
If anything here is unclear, or you just want to know more about how we handle your data, get in touch. We're real people and we'll give you a real answer.
